Wes Martin
Guitar

Hey Everybody… Here are some new pic of my wife Amanda and me. The gear pic is the setup I used for the cd release concert for "All That's Left Of Us". Check out my new (but old) telecaster from1959. I love this guitar. When I first purchased this guitar, the frets were almost even with the fret board! I played it like that for a couple of months. I had it refretted with Medium Jumbos (thanks Ben at vintage guitars!) and it plays great. This guitar has a most interesting story but would take too long for the website. If we ever run into each other, ask me…I would love to tell it. That picture of Amanda and me was at our friends Natalie and Shane's wedding reception. Great picture of her!

Music Philosophy: When it comes to gear...you don't need a lot. Get a good guitar, a decent chord and a dependable amp and get busy! Spend the rest on lessons. 90% of your tone comes from your fingers. Of course, if you play with Jeff Berry, you need a tank of a board. (Okay, okay, I am just making excuses now.) Start small and go from there! I like using the true-bypass system/strip made by Tom Peck in NYC. This way you dont have to run through EVERY pedal. Just control the ones you need for the time, while decreasing the noise and increasing the quality of sound. WARNNG: I must admit however, collecting pedals can become an addiction. I have been clean now for 1 year thanks to Pedals Anonymous!:) Check out Tom Peck's work at pedalboards.com and tell him I sent you!

Thanks to ROBERT KEELEY for the pedals--GREAT TONE! Check out www.robertkeeley.com and tell him I sent you!
