August/September 2006...
Let us first apologize for the lack of communication over the last several months. I promise it’s not because we don’t love you! We do! But we have just been traveling on the road! So following is a bit of our adventures!
This was one of our best summer experiences ever!
We started the summer with a missions sendoff – leading worship for ACTS students in Istanbul Turkey (just Jeff), and the IWitness college Base Camp, and the GoNow Missions conference with students going to serve across the globe!
Then from Super Summer in Texas and Oklahoma to leading worship for 5000 students at Falls Creek, to the hot mountains of New Mexico with our friends from Stongate church in Midland and then to renewing friendships with students from Impact Camp at HPU, and First Baptist Dallas and getting to lead “at home” at Mt. Lebanon outside of Dallas - the summer was full!
We finished the summer with a several concerts; one in the country – Blanco (thank you Franklin family for your hospitality and the Littlestars for your servant hearts loading our trailer) and another by the lake – Granbury! And finally in the South with the best sweet tea -- Philadelphia, Mississippi!
And we were able to be at our home church, The Heights every Sunday but 1 during the summer – Thank you to our church family for supporting us and our families as we serve!!!
Most importantly, Shawn had a baby boy and Jeff’s baby learned to say da-da!
Thank you for your prayers for us and over us! Know that we saw the LORD do some amazing things and we know that we are so lucky to be used of God! And so blessed to have friends and supporters who intercede in our behalf! May the LORD bless you for blessing us!
